Areas of Interest

Heather is passionate about empowering patients and placing them at the centre of their healthcare journey, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to navigate it effectively. Today, patients have unprecedented access to information - both accurate and misleading - which often widens the gap between patient needs, healthcare teams, and cutting-edge research, leading to unnecessary burden, time, and cost. Advances in precision medicine, genomics, AI, data analytics, digital health tools, and clinical decision support systems provide an opportunity to close this gap. Heather is particularly interested in leveraging these technologies to enhance personalization, strengthen clinical decision-making, and improve patient outcomes.

What You Hope to Achieve During the Programme

Through the DigiBio HealthTech Innovation Programme, Heather aims to deepen her understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, collaborate with clinical innovators, and develop an impactful offering for this space.
